Based in printmaking and drawing, Heather J. A. Thomson’s practice is an amalgamation of her passion for history and her desire to use a visual language. Her pieces are a culmination of research and visual study that adhere to a central question or concept.
Thomson received her BA from the University of Guelph in 2017 and was awarded the 2017-2018 Don Phillips Scholarship at Open Studio, Toronto. She is currently a Printmaking & Publications Class Assistant at OCAD University and an Instructor at Open Studio. Thomson is based in the GTA and spends her time between Oakville and Toronto.
